About

I was born & raised in Brighton & Hove. Growing up I was often exposed to the language of art, through my parents who shared their passion and knowledge with me.

My mother studied art & design, and under her guidance I developed digital art skills at a young age. I picked up an interest for pottery whilst at an after school club, but was unable to access it again for many years. As a teenager, I focused on image manipulation and typography, though I dabbled in manga characters.

Art took on new meaning for me when I moved to London in 2019 –  struggling from insomnia I’d spend the early hours excitedly carving into lino at the kitchen counter. Later that year I completed a handbuilding pottery course with Sofia Ceramics, which renewed my love for the medium. I moved back home shortly after, attending a brief throwing course at a local art store, followed by a handbuilding course at Pottery Gagliano

In late 2023, after I’d amassed a small collection of broken pearl jewellery I committed to repairing it. I learnt the skill through online videos, and bought supplies from KerrieBerrie, a local bead shop. A few weeks later, I was bulk buying broken pearl necklaces just for the joy of repairing them! In February 2024 I started creating my own designs with beads in my collection, and completing commissions for friends and family.

Since then, my passion for jewellery making has been stronger than ever, and I continue to build upon my existing skills and seek out inspiration wherever I can find it.
